The Brutal Circle - Writer's Blog

Rob Anderson, Panda Dog Press publisher, has joined a new writer's blog called The Brutal Circle (http://www.TheBrutalCircle.com/).

On the blog, Rob and his colleagues (Paul Allor, Frederick Kim, Don McMillan, and Bill Yurkas) will be discussing the craft of storytelling, as well as anything else they find interesting as writers. The group met through Andy Schmidt's Comics Experience courses and the Comic Creators Workshop, but their interests include prose fiction, television, and film.

Articles are already up on story structure, first drafts, world building, improv, and more. Rob's first article discusses plotting in Alan Moore's Top 10.

Jason Aaron on Breaking In

We had a very special guest last night at the Comics Experience Book Club -- Jason Aaron!

Because the Book Club is part of the Comic Creators Workshop, there were a lot of questions for Jason about his writing process, pitching, and how he broke into comics, and I shared a few of Jason's tips in an article over on the Comics Experience Blog.
